The Merry Wives of Windsor by WIlliam Shakespeare

 

Roving Shakespeare marked its Bay Area premiere with a Renaissance Style production of William Shakespeare’s Merry Wives of Windsor at the Fetterly Playhouse in Vallejo. The play was rehearsed and staged in a matter of 20 hours.

 

The Renaissance Style of rehearsal attempts to recreate the rehearsal conditions of Shakespeare’s time, consisting of short rehearsal time and no formal director or designers. It gives modern audiences an opportunity not only to see a story unfold, but literally theatre in the making.
