HamletMachine by Heiner Müller, Translated by Dennis Redmond.
This adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet focuses on the tension of public and private. As Prince, Hamlet has sway over those in his own social sphere but also participates in the world politcs at large. Monica Cross, director of HamletMachine, focuses on the play's intersection of domestic violence and political riots.
This 45 minute production was performed at Stuart Hall. The cast included: Chris Moneymaker, Linnea Barklund, Stephan Pietrowski, Aubrey Whitlock, and David Leohr.
